Terms and Conditions

 

Sitoba is a Xhosa word and means 9. Sitoba Tours started its business as a South African inbound tour operator with 9 tours. We specialize in integrated travel solutions for mid - to up- market individual, business, leisure and special interest travel to South Africa. Our focus is on exclusive, private tours and services while maintaining individuality with a difference and at the same time paying attention to integrating & familiarizing our guests with the South African culture and nature. Our services include private tours (1/2 day/1 day/4 days), tailor made tours, self-drive tours, golf tours/tuition, accommodation, safaris, car rental and transfers. Our commitment is: Devotion to individual attention and high quality service thus ensuring our clients maximum enjoyment and peace of mind.

Booking/Payment
A deposit of 50% of the total price is required to reserve any tour/arrangement. The balance is due to 30 days prior to departure date of tour/arrangement. Full payment is required if your booking or confirmation is made less than 30 days prior to departure.
All payments are to be made by electronic bank transfer. Payments for quotations in ZAR can be made by credit card. A 5% transaction fee will be charged when paying with credit card. All major credit cards are accepted (except Amex).
All our quotes are subject to change and availability at the time of final booking and we reserve the right to increase prices without notice in the case of increases in general and/or public tariffs, or in case of unexpected price increases beyond our control forced on us by service providers and hotels used for our quote. Special prices for children (<12 years) are available on request.

Cancellation/Changes
Cancellations have to be done in writing and are only effective after we have confirmed them to you in writing. The following cancellation charges will be levied and are expressed as a percentage of the total tour/arrangement price:

≥61 days 20%
60 - 31 days 35%
30 - 21 days 50%
20 - 14 days 75%
13 - 0 days 100%

If the client fails to join a tour/arrangement or join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no reimbursement whatsoever will be made. Should we not be able to accommodate your request and you therefore must cancel, our cancellation policy will apply.

If a third party service provider or hotel has a stricter cancellation policy as set out above, we will impose that particular policy in case of a cancellation.

A cancellation fee per person will be levied with every cancellation.

Any changes made on confirmed tours/arrangements will be assessed on actual penalties imposed on us by our suppliers, plus a change fee per person.

Insurance/Passport
It is a condition of booking, that the sole responsibility lies with the client to ensure that they carry the correct comprehensive travel and medical insurance to cover themselves, as well as any dependants/travelling companions for the duration of their trip to/in South Africa. The insurance should include cover in respect of, but not limited to the following eventualities: cancellation or curtailment, death, any medical or rescue expenses, as well as for any loss/damage/theft of luggage, money or personal items.

The onus is upon the client to ensure that passports and visas are valid for South Africa. Sitoba Tours, their staff and their agents cannot be held liable for any visas, etc not held by the guests, nor the cost of visas/passports.

Health
Anti-malaria precautions should be commenced prior to departure. The guest should consult a doctor for advise.

Guides/Languages
All tours are conducted by professionally qualified guides/drivers and guided on a private basis in Swedish, German and English. Tours in different languages are available on request.

Transport
Sitoba Tours uses air conditioned vehicles with insurance for passenger liability. Tours may be carried out by other operators of a similar standard with similar itinerary. All tour departure and arrival times are approximate.

Delays
We cannot be held liable for any delays or additional costs incurred as a result of airlines not running to schedule.

Refunds
Whilst Sitoba Tours uses its best endeavours to ensure that all anticipated accommodation is available as planned, there shall be no claim of any nature whatsoever against Sitoba Tours for a refund either in whole or part, if any accommodation or excursion is unavailable and a reasonable alternative is not found. If the client is unable to use any service provided in the itinerary, then there are no refunds due.

Responsibility
Sitoba Tours, their servants and agents shall not be responsible for and be exempt from any liability in respect of loss, damage, injury, accident, delay, illness, fatality or inconvenience to any person, or their luggage or other personal property, wherever the same shall occur and whether the same shall raise from or be caused by the negligence of Sitoba Tours, their servants or agents or any other person directly or indirectly in the employment or service of Sitoba Tours or otherwise under any circumstances whatsoever.
